Caersws progressed into the 4th Round against the Welsh National premier League visitors, but credit must be given to a committed and determined Coedpoeth side, who gave their all. After 11 minutes James Williams shot wide for the visitors and 2 minutes later a Dave Griffiths shot was comfortably held by home keeper Dave Jones. ,br>Caersws came back into the game and Geraint Lewis saw his shot deflected for a corner on 16 minutes. After 20 minutes defender Hugh Clarke saw a 12 yard header held by visitors keeper beaten. Caersws took the lead in the 27 minutes when Matt Prosser converted with a shot from 15 yards. In a rate Coedpoeth attack Dion Jones shot wide on the half hour from 20 yards.

The villages increased their lead in the 39 minute when Lee Jenkins drilled a low effort into the corner of the net from 18 yards beyond Griffiths.
Caersws continued to hold the upper hand in the 2nd half with Marc Griffiths seeing a shot deflected for a corner on 49 minutes and Chris Melia shooting wide in the 58th minute. Caersws got their third when substitute Scott Williams directed a header beyond Griffiths following good build up play. After 65 minutes a superb run by substitute Jacob smith saw Griffiths save well at the feet of Prosser. Coedpoeth reduced the lead in the 68th minute when Steven Davies scored with a shot from 15 yards, but the game was sealed in the 73 minute when Marc Griffiths scored following a superb run and clinical finish. Two minutes later Coedpoeth were reduced to 10 men when Dion Jones was dismissed for dangerous play. With Caersws completely dominating play against a tiring Coedpoeth, Scott Williams hit a post in the 80th minute. Caersws now have to visit bala Town in the 4th Round, on 30th January 2010.
