Caersws deserved appoint from this game against the big spending club from Gwynedd. The only difference between the sides was the contribution of man of the match Ricky Evans who dominated mid field. After 2 mins Geraint Lewis released Phil Jones , making his debut for the Bluebirds who unleashed a super strike from 25 yards to see visitors keeper Leon Bimpson pull of a good save. Bala took the lead in the 9th minute when Ricky Evans mishot deflected off Gethin Lloyd giving home keeper Dave Jones no chance. After 26 min Danny Williams shot over for the visitors 3 mins later keeper Jones did well to hold a right wing cross from Owain Roberts . Caersws continued to have much of the play but failed to create any clear cut chances . A minute later before the interval Jones held Evans 18 yard effort. The second half saw both sides have either fair share of the possession. Roberts shot over Bala from 18 yards on 52 mins and on the hour Phil Jones once again caused problems for Bala with a strong run ending with shot that went narrowly. Matt Prosser shot wide for the Bluebirds on the 72nd minute.. After 76 mins Bala increased their lead when former TNS striker John Connor pounced following sub John Irving deflected cross. After 78 mins a Phil Jones corner was headed off his own line by a Bala defender but 2 mins later Owain Robertsï¿½s made it safe for the visitors in another scramble. Caersws continued to plug away and gained a consolation goal in injury time when Prosser netted at the back post from Geraint Lewis cross ,while sub Jacob Smith spurned a excellent chance in the dying moments. This game could have gone either way but the Bluebirds remain in the bottom position despite showing plenty of effort.
